Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Amicortex. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Amicortex.

Amicortex is operated by an individual developer based in Haryana, India. Contact: support@amicortex.app.

1. Who can use Amicortex

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use Amicortex only with the permission of a parent or guardian. You must give accurate account information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Amicortex is

Amicortex is an AI companion and assistant. It can talk with you, remember things about you, answer questions, generate images, read replies aloud, send email on your request, help you find music or shopping and food links, and run safety features you choose to switch on.

3. AI replies are not advice

Amicortex is a computer program. It can be confidently wrong, out of date, or make things up. Do not treat its replies as professional advice. In particular:

• Medical. Amicortex is not a doctor and does not diagnose or treat anything. Speak to a qualified professional.
• Legal and financial. Amicortex is not a lawyer or a financial adviser. Do not make legal, tax, or investment decisions based on what it says.
• Mental health. Amicortex is not a therapist and is not a crisis service. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, please contact a qualified professional or a local helpline, and reach out to someone you trust.

Check anything important before you act on it. You are responsible for your own decisions.

4. Safety features — important limitations

SOS, Walk With Me, the code word, live location tracking and the reach-home timer are best-effort tools that run on your phone. They are not an emergency service and are not connected to the police or to emergency services in any way. In a real emergency, call 112.

Please understand these specific limits:

• Live location is shared only while a safety session you started is running. Your phone's battery saver, or closing the app from the recent-apps screen, can stop the updates.
• If your phone loses signal, runs out of battery, or is switched off, nothing can be sent.
• Location accuracy depends on your device and surroundings and can be wrong by a long distance, especially indoors or on a computer.
• Alert emails and WhatsApp messages depend on services outside our control and may be delayed, blocked, filtered as spam, or not delivered at all.
• WhatsApp alerts require you to tap send yourself. They are never sent automatically.
• Voice detection of a code word may fail to recognise what you said, or may trigger when you did not intend it.

Please test these features before you rely on them, keep your emergency contacts up to date, and always keep a way to call for help that does not depend on this app.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us permission to store and process it, and to send it to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy, purely so the app can work for you. Subject to those providers' own terms, you may use the images and text Amicortex generates for you, including commercially. Similar output may be generated for other people, so we cannot promise it is unique to you.

You must have the right to upload whatever you upload.

6. Things you must not do

• Break the law, or use Amicortex to harm, harass, threaten, stalk, or impersonate anyone.
• Send spam, bulk mail, or any email the recipient did not want, using the email feature.
• Generate sexual content involving minors, content that promotes violence or self-harm, or content designed to deceive people.
• Attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or bypass limits in the service or its backend.
• Resell Amicortex, or use it to build a competing service.
• Upload other people's personal data without their consent, or share someone's tracking link without their knowledge.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, usually with notice, and immediately where there is a risk of serious harm.

7. Usage limits

Free and paid plans carry limits — for example on messages, images generated per day, and emails sent per day. We may change these limits to keep the service running and affordable, and we will tell you in the app when a limit affects you.

8. Paid plans and payment

a. Plans and prices

Amicortex offers a free plan and one or more paid plans. What each plan includes, its price, and the period it runs for are shown inside the app at the time you buy. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.

b. How payment is taken

Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay's own secure checkout and never reach us. By paying, you also accept Razorpay's terms and privacy policy. You confirm that the payment method you use belongs to you and that you are allowed to use it.

c. Billing and activation

• Plans are billed in advance for the full period shown at checkout.
• Your plan activates as soon as the payment is confirmed by Razorpay. This can take a few minutes.
• If money leaves your account but the plan does not activate within a reasonable time, email support@amicortex.app with your payment ID and we will either apply the plan or refund you.
• If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back, we may move your account to the free plan until it is settled.

d. Renewal

Where a plan is set to renew automatically, we will tell you so at checkout, and you may be asked to authorise a recurring mandate with your bank. You can cancel at any time from inside the app; cancelling stops the next renewal but does not end the period you have already paid for.

e. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time. Your plan continues until the end of the period already paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan. A period that has already begun is not refundable, except in the specific cases set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it.

f. Changes to plans and prices

We may change plan prices, limits, or what a plan includes. Any change takes effect from your next renewal onwards and never applies to a period you have already paid for. We will tell you before a change takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can cancel.

g. Misuse of a paid plan

A paid plan is for your personal use through the Amicortex app. Sharing your account, reselling access, or automating requests may result in suspension. Where we suspend or close an account for a breach of section 6, we may do so without a refund.

h. App stores

If you subscribe through the Google Play Store or another app store, that store's own billing, cancellation and refund rules apply in addition to these terms, and refunds for such purchases must be requested from the store.

9. Third-party services

Amicortex links to and depends on services we do not control — including Google, YouTube, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Swiggy and Zomato. We are not responsible for those services, their content, or what happens when you use them. Their own terms apply there. Amicortex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

YouTube

The music feature in Amicortex uses YouTube API Services. Songs are found through the YouTube Data API and played using YouTube's own official player. Amicortex does not download, copy, store or re-host any audio or video, and does not remove or interfere with any advertising shown by YouTube.

By using the music feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). How Google handles information collected through those services is described in the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy). You can review and remove Amicortex's access to your data at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Song results come from YouTube and are filtered automatically; we cannot guarantee that every result is appropriate. If you see something wrong, please use the report option on the song card.

10. Availability

Amicortex is in active development. Features may change or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Amicortex is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, for lost profits or data, or for any harm arising from reliance on AI replies or from a safety feature failing to work as expected. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile → App → Data controls → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your chats, memory and images.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for significant changes we will notify you in the app. Continuing to use Amicortex after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Faridabad, Haryana will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where the law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
